I've just discovered the slattern's way to clean the bathroom!

I couldn't find any bath power so I thought I'd try Ciillit Bang's Active Foam. Oh, my! I just squirted it round the bath, shower and sink. Then I walked out for a few minutes, came back, showered the bath and shower surround, swooshed some water round the sink and my bathroom is gleaming! The manky tile grout is much whiter than ever before. I didn't believe it would get that clean without some effort.

Had to share Blush

Oh we love cillt bang in this house.

And fairy power spray.

Anything that means you don't have to actually do anything.

headlesslambrini · 04/01/2014 20:22

adds to Tesco list for tomorrow.

GampyWabbit · 04/01/2014 20:23

I will also add this to our shopping list! excited!

soontobeslendergirl · 04/01/2014 20:25

Well done :) Does it have any bleach in it? Looked up the website and it doesn't say...

BafanaThesober · 04/01/2014 20:34

Added to the shopping list. Anything that means less work!

NoRoomForALittleOne · 04/01/2014 20:40

The one I have doesn't appear to have any bleach in it but there is another type of the same sort of spray and I have no idea about that one.

You can't use it on natural marble, I'm afraid. I can see how this would never be a problem for MNers.

I do have to admit though, there doesn't appear to be much weight left to the can now and at £3.50 it is not cheap. It was worth it when I was exhausted after a day of four children ranging from 6 months to six years.

Oh, and open a window before you use it. I guess it is a bit fume-y because it is an aerosol spray.

It's totally hideous for the environment but a massive treat for me tonight Grin

Cif Bathroom Mousse is also wonderful. About £2.50. Squirt it round, it foams up and leaves your bathroom lovely and clean with no effort. My bath really sparkles.

Fairylea · 04/01/2014 22:27

I must be the only person who doesn't think much of the foam cleaners.... I think cif cream and a good bit of elbow grease gets the best finish with a squirt of dettol mould spray for any black areas. If I use the foam cillit bang or whatever I always feel I need to scrub it afterwards!

ineedanexcuse · 04/01/2014 22:34

Just looked on My supermarket and its only £2.00 in Asda

mousmous · 04/01/2014 22:39

I get my dc do it...only need to do the high up parts after.
and use a squeegee after each shower.

HectorVector · 05/01/2014 16:05

I'm sorry but it's not really clean, even if it looks it. You need to scrub it to clean it.

MrsBennetsEldest · 05/01/2014 16:13

I found something that works well last night, shampoo.
Noticed whilst I was in the shower that the tiles could do with a scrub, all I had to hand was a drop of tresemme and a facecloth. Worked a treat, tiles were clean and dried to a sparkling finish.

Losthearts · 05/01/2014 20:20

Looks clean and feels clean, no need to scrub Grin
