Harry Hoover - any good for pet hair & carpets?

I'm useless with vacuum cleaners; they just break on me. My current one has lasted 2 years but the handle has snapped off, so I'm looking for a new one.

Looking at reviews of the Henry/Hetty Hoovers, they seem great, apart from not managing too well on carpets/pet hair. As I have 2 dogs and a cat, and half the house is carpeted, I was wondering about getting one of the green Harry pet Hoovers.

Has anyone used one, and if so, what do you think?

I love my Henry. He's a tough little guy! Numatic do a Henry Extra which has an attachment designed to cope with pet hair might be worth a look? Cheaper than Harry Hoover.
