Clothes that are neither clean nor dirty. Where do you keep them?

Clean clothes go in the drawers and on hangers. Dirty clothes go in the wash. Jeans that have been worn once and can be worn again - where do they go? Our current solution - on the bedroom floor. Not ideal. I'm curious, fellow MNers, what do you do?

On the towel rail in the bathroom. Said towel rail is currently heaving with trousers and skirts and handwash only items. No room for towels. Grin

Surely putting worn clothes back in the wardrobe is the same as sending a written invitation for dinner to the moths.

On my chair. Often this mounts up and then it all goes into the wash... it drives me crazy so it it currently clear and just has the jeans for the next day. If there's a loose top that could be worn again, it goes on a hanger on hooks and then I put it away the following day. I've managed to keep it all clear for a week now so I'm hoping it's the start of a new good habit.

We have a row of six hooks in the wardrobe. Dh has 3 and I have 3. Underneath is the washing basket. When the hooks get too full, the clothes fall off into the washing basket.

On a bedroom chair. DH calls it the "laundry chair". He has one too.

Floordrobe, to be used again tomorrow.

TwistedRib · 17/12/2013 21:59

On the "half worn" chair. We have one in our bedroom Smile

ThurlHoHoHow · 17/12/2013 22:03

On a chair. Occasionally I put a dress back in the wardrobe. But if I put it back in the wardrobe I'd forget that I'd already worn it once, and that way disaster looms

Wingedharpy · 19/12/2013 02:31

On a rather grand-sounding great bit of kit called a clothes valet.
DH and I have one each.

minipie · 19/12/2013 22:00

Chair.

DH puts his on top of the laundry basket, now that's confusing. Mind you he has no chair to use (it's on my side of the bed)

Littlemissexpecting · 19/12/2013 22:07

On the banister in the landing. Currently has 3 pairs of jeans and 2 jumpers on, they are getting a good airing Smile

If I'm in the bathroom they go on the hooks on the back of the door. But my bedroom carpet could do with hoovering so it's okay to put them there to cover the mess and have something smooth to walk on.

I joke(sort of). I have a pile on top of a box full of board games.

not sure if that's better
