Lack of water pressure and screechy noise when cold bath tap is turned on...

When I turn the cold bath tap on its a trickle really and makes a screechy noise.
What could this be?
Can I fix it myself?

probably a worn-out tap washer, or misplaced jumper.

Assuming you have a traditional style of tap, you can fix it with some adjustable spanners and 50p worth of parts. Or ask around for a good local plumber.

Could be air in the system??

the screechy noise does not suggest air.

Oh phew!
I will get dh to get hi spanners put!
