I've got £15.5o of clubcards & am wondering on whether to get myself a magazine subscription, or buy 2 x tickets to Vinopolis for me & DH for his B'day.

Lastminute.com have an offer of for Vinopolis....how do I work out the best deal ?

I have about 60 quids worth of the damn things. I never know how to redeem them for eurotunnel or holidays, so I know I'll end up just handing them over for my weekly shop.

I wish I could get to grips with how they work. I've read the booklet, but it all seems to much agro. Has anyone done a eurotunnel trip with them and was it easy??

katzg · 07/07/2006 09:35

i have done 3 x mag subs was veryb easy - sent off vouchers and form was sent back an other voucher which i sent off to the address given plus filled in a form saying where to send mags - 3 cheap christmas presents!

i have just exchange some for days out vouchers, did this online even easier, just put them in my trolly and entered the codes on the vouchers - days out vouchers arrived within 48 hrs

tallmummy · 07/07/2006 09:54

I treated myself to a magazine subscription 2 years ago. Enough for a year and then they did anotgher special offer so got a good deal for the second year too.

Mojomummy · 07/07/2006 10:35

I can't quite work out the Vinopolis, but will make more effort when August vouchers come though.

Did treat myself to the good homes magazine subscription though & it was easy - go to the tescos website - > find mag - > click the button -> enter your voucher number - you even get change !

I think Vinopolis is £7.50 in clubcard vouchers v £30 + on lastminute.com

have a look at www.tesco.com/clubcarddeals it explains it all

Done loads of things with ours- usually save them up for a while first. Last year paid for ferry across to Hook of Holland including upgrade. Have just bought bedroom and spare room furniture from MFI. Also done Blockbuster vouchers and admissions to Warwick Castle, The National Space Centre and Cadbury World. Definitely worth doing - if you spend enough in Tescos - and I obviously do!!

charliecat · 24/08/2006 10:53

Go here and have a rummage about see what you fancy, you can do it online, just putting in the codes off the vouchers when youve chosen what you would like.
We have been to thorpe park, alton towers, legoland, drussilas, and another few local places FOR FREE buy using the vouchers so havent spent any major money over the holidays on entertaining the kids.
Dont swop them in the shop.
You can also sell them on ebay and you will get at least twice thier value.

terriefarrell · 24/08/2006 17:33

I've seen some great voucher deals so am resisting using them for the shopping now but was wondering as i saw lots of people flogging them on ebay and am tempted, just concerned about the not transferrable biz with it. Sellers say they will apply for the deal you request but could there be any problems with wherever you redeem them asking for ID as i know the deal vouchers have names on them? Was thinking of buying some off there and using them in MFI as i have a world to decorate!!!

I never spend my clubcard vouchers in store.
Always use them for days out.
Each voucher is worth 4 times its value in deals.
If you spend a £5 voucher in store, all you get is £5 worth of goods.
If you spend a £5 voucher in deals, you get £20 worth of deals.
I took all 5 of us to legoland for £24 in vouchers!!!
Should have cost us £96 in cash.

We always do this now.

Log onto tesco website and go into clubcard deals and it explains all that you need to do.

SecondhandRose · 25/08/2006 07:18

Don't spend them in store. So far on Tesco this year we have been to Longleat, Wookey Hole, Woburn Safari Park next week we are going to Alnwick castle and during October half term we are going tow Warwick castle and Cadbury World.

Just fill in the form in the brochure, enclose your tokens and send them off recorded delivery. They come back very quickly.

They have now started to do the annual Tussauds pass again for £21.25 per person in vouchers, so that's most of the major theme parks for a whole year (not Legoland though).

Auntymandy · 25/08/2006 07:27

I have just heard about using them for other things and now franticly shopping on line to 'buy' my next years holiday!!!

Theresa · 25/08/2006 08:07

A big tip, get a tesco credit card. To get to tesco I have ti drive past 4 other supermarkets so I don't do it very often, but with our tesco credit card we get loads of points and we're not really mega spenders! Not sure what the interest rate is like as we pay off balance every month. Definitely don;t spend them in store. This year we've been to Legoland, Flamingoland & going to PleasureBeach at Blackpool in October. may think about saving them for a holiday after this year

Bucketsofdinosaurs · 25/08/2006 08:37

It IS very complicated getting the bloomin Deals vouchers because you have to know exactly what you want to spend them on in and in many cases get hold of them well in advance of a planned event.
I got my sister a magsub for her birthday, was very chuffed because I couldn't afford to do it the normal way last Xmas (£36 vs £9.)
I've also got £20 of hotel Deals and am planning a naughty night away at the Basingstoke Hilton for me and DH (although can't quite convince him that it doesn't matter what bloomin town we're in.) You have to get these in advance as you then send the Deal tokens off after booking so you receive a confirmation which you have to bring at checkin. And there are some very complicated rules for each hotel company.

Auntymandy · 25/08/2006 11:28

just got my statement and now they have restaurant deals

SoupDragon · 25/08/2006 11:30

I get my RAC membership every year for about £35 compared to over £100!

Auntymandy · 25/08/2006 11:32

really..didnt know you could do that.
............... no I AM going to Haven...stop trying to sway me you lot!!

Heartmum2Jamie · 28/08/2006 10:31

We are also going to Haven on 12days time courtesy of our deal tokens!! We have now started to shop online all the time and using the voucher codes. Last quater, even though we are broke and cut back on all our weekly shops, we still got £47 worth of token with all the extra points codes that were going. 47 x 4 = £188!!! Makes me a very happy tesco shopper!

2plus2plus1 · 28/08/2006 20:35

Work out how to convert them to DEALs (it is not as complicated as it sounds) - you will get so much more. I paid £3 (+vouchers) for last years haven holiday & I already have £190 towards next years. RAC though - thats something I hadn't noticed...Must read the booklet thats come with them.

charliecat · 28/08/2006 20:36

Katymac · 28/08/2006 21:26

No - you need to pick what you want and convert that number of points

eg £21 (ish) = 2 adult + 2 child tiockets at legoland

So you convert £22 and they put the change on your clubcard for next time

Well phone them and ask (eurotunnel)

I son't think you can use them on line (but I could be wrong)

If you have ordered the deals I don't think you can change them
