Mine has a built in timer, little display tells me how long my wash has left to run and it has a child-lock so I can stop DD pressing the buttons mid-cycle

Use dishwasher once a day as it uses less water than washing up when full. I spin everything at 800 apart from woollens

Cappucino · 25/06/2006 20:33

i put it dishwasher on at night cos it's full then...

if it gets full early if people come I put it on earlier

[perplexed]

I really am not understanding what the issue is here

you need to get a hobby

honeychild · 25/06/2006 20:37

Confused - perhaps cos haven't read whole thread... what does the spin cycle on the washing machine have to do with the dishwasher????????

GarfieldsGirl · 25/06/2006 20:58

NDP - is yours an LG??? I know how longs left to go on mine by the sound it makes

GarfieldsGirl · 25/06/2006 20:58

I've just had to leave the puter to inspect my washing machine. I hadn't noticed how many buttons it has because I was over-awed by its sheer Australian hugeness and deepness that takes a double duvet without a whimper.

Lo and behold! There's a mysterious 'favourites' button, plus 'permanent press' along with the regular stuff like delicates and heavy duty (oooh), several timer functions and lots of different spin speeds.

I thank you cod and the housekeeping thread.

Now Capp - tell me more about these oils. Fab idea but don't you get greasy oily marks on the clothes?

NomDePlume · 26/06/2006 19:43

GG, yes it is . I was a bit dubious about spending £500 on an LG, but it is brilliant, good, big drum too.

GarfieldsGirl · 27/06/2006 06:42

NDP DP said 'We're not spending £600 or anything stupid on a Dyson', but didn't mention the £500 spent on an LG! Oh well! No-one else is allowed to touch mine, and I spent the 1st few weeks I had it boring everyone with stories of my new washing machine.

Oh, the exciting life of a SAHM

No idea what speed the spin rate is But I do mine twice... So after it was stopped, I turned the knob around again to dry spin again. Nice and dry clothes....

Am I the only one that does this... I guess it may be that I have my spin on tooooo low and sopping wet clothes,, oh god, now I will have to get up to take a look and I was soo comfy...

Oh must have a crap model as I only have a button that says 1200 and 600 and have never pushed it in, so must be doing it at 1200 twice...
