Anyone know how to get whiteboard pen out of a white t shirt?

Naught DD drew on DH's favourite T shirt with whiteboard marker. I've tried washing at 60, and soaking in vanish. No luck. Any suggestions?

Once you've washed nope never found anything that works.

Prior to washing Dr Bechmans ink remover works well.

Oh dear I thought that might be the case. New T shirt it is then....

I too think washing it might have been the end, sorry. Have you tried nail polish remover? Or Vodka? Neat acetone might work, if you have any.

Someone put me onto hairspray for biro. Even though I had washed DH's shirt (with a MASSIVE stain) a lot still came out... maybe worth a try? Just sort of saturate and lightly massage, then leave it for 30 mins or so, and then wash.

I'm a teacher n we have complaints daily... Doesn't come out.. We've switched white board pens as well to combat problem but they're all the same.

The vanish bar of soap type thing gets it out of my DD's school dresses, you just need to rub it in quite generously, I have then rubbed/scraped my nail along the mark and watched it come out. Have had success on numerous occasions, and I no longer despair when she comes out covered in it.

I have also got marks out that have already been washed. Vanish soap bar - tis magic!

Hmm I've tried the vanish soap bar as it's my all time best stain sorter and it's not worked when I've tried - every other ink but white board markers!

Ooh, this annoys me! I really can't seem to shift it! I have seen Biotex recommended before-has anyone tried that and is it any good??

I used Vanish soap bar as soon as DS got home (so no more than 5 hours after the 'incident' as he is currently doing half days) & put straight in a whites wash, which was only half full. Also put a scoop of Vanish powder in the wash & it came out fine.

Random - you really need to keep at it with the vanish bar, you think it's not going to work, but I rub and scrape my nail along the pen mark and it lifts out or maybe it's just the type of white board pens our school uses ......

Fortunately mine are at the end of white board marker days Grin
