Can you buy a glass tabletop for a wooden table?

We have a lovely table, but it is not really tough enough for the rigours of family life.

Could you buy a glass table top to cover it? If so, where?

Look for a local glazier, they could cut one to size and bevel the edges etc.

Yes you can just get a bit of toughened glass cut to size and smoothed off.
