Can anyone recommend an electric FAN to cool a room down please?

It's actually a garden studio we need it for. I'm thinking maybe a freestanding one rather than a desk one?

Anyone got one recently, please?

Raher than a fan what about a free standing air conditioning unit ?
Depends on your budget, but I think this would be a better at actually cooling the room down rather than just circulating the air.

A fan will just blow the air around, not cool it.

Millipede is right, an aircon unit is what you need

We have a small aircon unit in our bedroom, it cost £270. It is utterly fabulous but quite noisy.

I also have a £25 tower fan in the conservatory which does a reasonable job of blowing air around and keeping it from being stiflingly hot. The conservatory is not in the sun from about noon onwards at the moment though. I'm not sure the fan would be of any use if it was.

You'll be lucky to get one at all at the moment, everyone's sold out as far as I can see.

Thank you...I think we may try to survive without!
