How to get sun cream stains off white school shirts?

My son wears the old fashioned white cotton school shirts (by which i mean not polo tops) and with our sudden lovely summer weather, they are now all stained yellow where they rub on the sun cream i put on him.

I wash them at 40 degrees and have tried ariel stain remover, vanish whites cleaner and also rubbing fairy liquid in (separately obviously!).

Bleach, elbow grease, and then leave in the sunshine tomorrow.

Or try a hot (90deg) wash.

I'm refusing to buy new shirts, as we need a different style in Sept!

I have the same problem with DD's clothes. All the necks and sleeves are yellow. I can't bleach coloured things, can I? Most cotton baby vests (she's 14mo). I'd like a spray-based solution, too, krisskross!
