Biggest pest for this is the turmeric - but neat bleach does work on it. Usual 'test on a small bit first' disclaimer.

Stain devils do a curry sauce one as well. Not yet tried though have one in case...

Thanks Moonbells :) ...I swear one of these days i will put a bib on dh Grin

I'm a bit worried about putting bleach as there are slim faint blue stripes on the shirt :( the bleach might fade these .... I will look out for the stain devil today :) Thanks

rub washing up liquid and a little water into the stain, rinse it and then wash it in the washing machine with your usual detergent (I use bio powder)

p.s. my dh cooks curry once a week and regularly splashes himself with it and washing up liquid has been the best stain remover so far - give it a good rub in with your fingers and some water

If all else fails, sunshine will help, my (Indian) mil swears by it.

Thank You :) I will try the washing up liquid now & if that doesn't work i will send dh to the shops to buy Stain devil or sunshine :)

Thanks Thanks

honestly, Fishlegs is right

sunlight will bleach natural food stains out - the fabric has to be wet and hung in direct sunlight

Try the vanish again but scrub it in with an old toothbrush. I find that works much better than just rubbing it on.

You could also try a soak in a soda crystal solution before washing.

I've just taken it in off the line & the stain is barely visible now :) so have rubbed in more fairy liquid and rinsed well & hung it back out in the sunshine :) Fingers crossed .

You lot are fab thank you Grin Thanks
