So excited about washing line - sad I know!

My FIL to be came round on Saturday and rigged up a pulley washing line! It's already made such a difference, no damp clothes hanging around the house! Clothes washed, dried, ironed and away the same day!

Never thought I'd get excited about stuff like that!

Just thought I'd share!

I got a new rotary line put up on Wednesday, as my old one was falling apart, and now I can dry a whole machine load at the one time! so I understand your excitement Ginger Smile

Glad someone does! My FIL looked bemused about how excited I was!

I really, really, really want one, so I am Envy There's so two walls/posts to string a line between, and a rotating one would take up too much room. I just have to drag the airer outside on a nice day, which works fine but isn't as exciting as a clothes line.

On an equally sad note, I was similarly excited when a local diary knocked randomly on the door and said they deliver milk by 6am in glass bottles. It's heaven. I also like eating the thick wodge of cream you get jamming closed the top of the full fat bottles...

I put the surfers out but they always got blown over so washing line is heaven!

I'm with you on the excitement Ginger! After more than a year of having a garden (after more than 20 years with no outside space at all) I still love putting the washing out really early just as the sun's coming over into the garden and sitting on the back step with a cuppa watching the steam rise from all the black stuff as the sun hits it Grin Why is that by the way, that you can see steam rising from black stuff but not the rest?

Thank god my line was back in action this weekend after a garden revamp. Picked up DS from Uni yesterday along with his 7 loads of washing Shock
To be fair he did tell me he had loads of washing to do before he came home (yer right!) and I said "don't worry I'll do it when you get home."
He's off again next week for the whole summer so I really don't mind.

7 loads fussy? Unless you have lots of sun where you are I think I'd be down the launderette drying that lot! We've had to do that twice with dd1 heading back from Uni!

On subject I LOVE putting washing out on the line. It's one of my favourite jobs. The putting it all away bit, not so good.
