So I need a new machine, I started a thread earlier about getting a Bosch, but was wondering if a Miele would be worth the extra ponds!!! John Lewis has one for £689.00... Gulp!

Yep love the Miele. You can shorten time of some washes which is handy. There's also a soak setting which works well for mucky clothes. And the fast wash (30 mins @ 40C) is very handy too.

I can recommend the O'Gormans website for Miele appliances - we have bought 2 Miele dishwashers (one for our previous house which is now let, one for the house we live in now) and a Miele washing machine from there and they are reliable and offer quick delivery and good prices.

My problem with Miele right now is that the earliest date they could give me to repair my dishwasher under warranty was nearly three weeks from my calling them. The dishwasher is only 18 months old so I was not expecting it to go wrong in the first place but when it did I was gobsmacked at the poor service time they offered. My wife is very ill with MND so this is causing us real problems. I tried again today to get them to come earlier but they say they can’t. Apparently they don’t have enough technicians. That sounds to me like deliberate cost savings for profits at the expense of their customers. I had thought this was a premium brand but no longer. I am really disappointed/angry with them.
