New kettle, water still tastes funny (I'm not as boring as I sound!)

New kettle is nearly 2 weeks old but our brews still have a taste about them. I followed all the instructions (unlike me). It has been used loads.

Anyone got any rips to get rid of the taste? Thanks

Use filtered water? We've got a kettle and filter in one, makes a lovely cuppa. In fact drinking one as I type, mmm
