Any ideas for getting blue tack out of carpet????

DS1 keeps getting hold of the stuff at school and it then dropping it and it gets trodden into the carpet argggg!! I've picked as much of it out as I can but there is still a bit left. I will be frisking the dear child at the door from now on

not good - we had to resort to cutting little bits out of the carpet and not getting new till they were much older and past the messy stages!

Oh dear i was hoping for an evil solvent i could use
he is 9 and should know better but I think it is one of those "things" at school as his mate brought some round the other day

have got a vague idea that ice works (or does it work on chewing gum? can't remember .
think if you make the blu tack cold enough it should be easier to remove...
