Toddler, baby, dog. Can anyone share routines?

I just can't keep on top of everything. DS is 6 months, DD 3 years. How on earth does anyone keep the house (and don't mention the garden/ exterior/ garage/ car) clean and tidyish and also manage occasional jobs like big clothes sorts or decorating, all while looking after small children? I know that dropping standards can help. Mine can't drop much further....

OMG! Tell me about it! I have 3 kids, 7,11 and 12. Oldest has ADHD with no behavioral issues but is very little use when helping around the house (he does job, I have to re-do!) 11yr old very good, makes great coffee but extremely untidy! 2 dogs, 1 extremely hairy, 1 not so much. 1 noisy demanding cat, a gerbil and hamster and a stinky bearded dragon called Gary. And Ffredi the pony. 1 husband who works very long hours and despite promises to help, does sod all in the house! I also have a part time job which will be soon becoming more like 3/4 time. However I am a massive procrastinator and can spend hours doing virtually nothing! Hence sat here on mumsnet! I reckon if I gave myself a timetable I would get a lot more done! Can't really offer any good advice but have crashed your post hoping for advice from others!
