It is a Beko. Didn't buy expensive as use 2 programmes maximum. Every now and then it woudn't empty out all the water and sometimes the clothes were left wetter than they should, but on the whole it was okay. I have asked it to spin 3 times now as the clothes were left soaked and it won't. It says End leading me to believe it has done it's job but nada. There is water in the small gap between the instruction panel and the lid which makes me worry that water is leaking into the main drum where I am sure it shouldn't.

I do about 17 wash loads a week but really don't want to spend a fortune on a fancy pants machine. Any recommendations for what is good, or just as important, a brand or machine to avoid?

YAY for your DH!

(mine wouldn't have a clue what to do with a bush Grin)

Sparklingbrook · 03/11/2012 13:26

yes all this 'DH fitted parts' is extraordinary. Confused

Ponders · 03/11/2012 13:26

I'd recommend Bosch, AEG or Miele too. (We have moved a lot!) I bought an extremely expensive Samsung whilst in Brisbane, Aus, but I don't rate it particularly.

Though not enough to not ship it back to the UK as it cost about 700 pounds! Shock

I have a very handy DIY capable DH Grin.

Yes Ponders my car went in for an MOT and I was told my bushes needed replacing. I stood there like Shock not knowing if I was being ripped off. I had to ring DF and check. Blush

I think it is brake related....

Ponders · 03/11/2012 17:06

good job it was bushes & not just bush or you'd have had to slap them Grin

Sparklingbrook · 03/11/2012 17:54

Grin I tend not to go to garages if at all possible. My fan belt was squealing last week so I had to go in and explain that. Sad

We rent our washing machine therefore never pay for repairs.

Plus I change it every year as I get bored f the machine Hmm

And they fitted me a nice limescale filter on the pipe Smile

We have a hotpoint currently but my fave EVER was a LG which they don't rent out anymore apparently Sad

Am also shocked at amount of washing people do!
