natural mold remover, anyone? chemical spray is marking to tiles

just that really, the spray I used, similar to UK products, has taken to surface off the tiles. so, is there any way to remove mold in my shower using some fantastic natural product I have yet to learn of?

Are your tiles glazed porcelain or clay? If so, the glaze should be like glass and I can't think of a cleaning material that would attack it.

Black mildew and other moulds can be killed with a weak solution of chlorine bleach, and once dead will clean off easilky. However to prevent regrowth you need to reduce humidity since they grow in damp conditons.

Ventilation is the usual way to get water vapour out of a bathroom, but if you have money to burn you can use a dehumidifier.

I too was stunned, but we are in south America and the glaze is, apparently, definitely not as I would expect to get in the UK. That said, I still expected it to stand up to the cleaning chemicals. I shall try the bleach method, thanks for that.

Ordinary bleach or dettol.

Thats brilliant crunching thank you. I hate bleach and haven't yet bought some to use, but I do have tea tree oil. Today I plan to do all those niggly jobs I keep putting off as its raining.

I've used the tea tree oil, smells so much better than nasty toxic bleach and my eyes weren't burning after, yay! I'll see how it goes in the long term

That's great to hear Adora. Hope the tea tree oil was kinder to your tiles too! I discovered some bedding the other day with a little mould on I've tried washing multiple times on hot wash in machine in the past to mixed results. I tried
soaking in a bucket of water & tea tree oil overnight, scrubbed the offending areas whilst in the solution & then washed - tis perfect and all definitely gone! Bleach would have ruined the sheets and stunk the place out

I believe Oil of Cloves will kill and deter mould. Google for how much to dilute.
