That is impressive, they weren't lying when they called that deluxe, were they Grin
Mine is a single post metal thing from Ikea, which DS clangs about the place.

Beamur · 14/09/2012 20:30

I've just bought a new one!

I think it was a bit pricey but it's a nice simple, clean looking design and it holds my bog roll beautifully.

There are two IKEA ones;

Enudden and the aforementioned single post metal thing, also known as Grundtal

PigletJohn · 14/09/2012 20:52

why not wall ones?

ThreadWatcher · 14/09/2012 20:58

This one is £32.50!!!

Why free standing? - ours is freestanding because we rent and move quite a bit. In rented accomodation there is no gurantee that there will be a loo roll holder when you move in - or ime that is will be where you want it to be (as obviously its Very Important its in the right place!)

FWIW ours looks similar to the one in the op but is just a spike that holds about 6 rolls - cost about £3 from Wilkinsons I think.

MrsDmitriTippensKrushnic · 14/09/2012 21:19

The walls in our previous flat were so awful that wall mounted toilet roll holders would always end up coming off. Luckily we had a handily located radiator to balance our roll on, but one of these would probably have been a bit more swish Grin

PigletJohn · 14/09/2012 22:05

there's a clever way to put screws firmly into crumbly walls.

Send me a cake and I'll tell you.

RaspberryLemonPavlova · 15/09/2012 01:18

Mine's like the OPs but from Argos.

Ours is free standing because we have brand new tiles and I couldn't decide what I wanted and commit to drilling into the new tiles.

ArthurShappey · 15/09/2012 09:11

bea I love that your is called a 'toilet butler'. Grin

whattodoo · 15/09/2012 09:16

Ah, the Holy Grail!

But, in fact I need one with a white ceramic base.

JL have a ceramic butler, but I'd rather not pay their price unless I have to.

Any ideas?

TDada · 16/09/2012 07:35

Back now. Freestanding because of plaster board walls. Piglet, I only do dairy free wheat free cakes?

PigletJohn · 16/09/2012 09:15

bah!

hwhite6 · 16/09/2012 18:51

Recipe please TDada!
Also need something for the loo roll, as ensuite has ended up so small there isn't a "right" place for it to go... Was thinking sky-hooks, but can't find any for sale :)

treacletart · 16/09/2012 18:59

How's this for cool? beats the doll we had on the bathroom window-sill when we were kids.

TDada · 17/09/2012 19:39

White- can I offer you a cheat mix?

OP posts:
TDada · 17/09/2012 19:41
