I'm new to this topic - be gentle!
I'm a SAHM to two small boys, and my house has effectively been a tip for the last five years (I don't mean a total cess-pit, but only essential jobs done, no deep cleaning, panic surface clean/tidy when people come round). As of next week, however, DS1 starts school and DS2 starts nursery two mornings a week, so for the first time in five years I will have a few hours a week to myself. One of the things I would like to do with this new 'free' time is to improve the state of my house. I'm not a terribly house-proud person, so I'm not aiming for a show-home, but I would like to achieve a situation whereby I would be happy to receive unexpected guests at any time, and that, over time, the whole house gets a real deep clean.
Given that I have other stuff to do in my free time as well, I would ideally like to only spend one of my two mornings a week on housework. Factoring in pick up/drop off, I reckon I will have about two and a quarter hours of solid time available. So, the first question is, is it possible to achieve a clean and tidy house in that amount of time (obviously plus the usual washing up, tidying toys etc that happens every day)? And secondly, does anyone have any tips of what to do/how to do it that would help me achieve this?
Thanks!
