house is a private let so im fed up spending the money on repainting the gloss(keeps turning yellow), so about 3 months ago i painted my hall skirtings boards and doors with a base coat and i started painting over it with gloss but the gloss ran out and since im a lazy moo havent got round to buying more gloss

anyways fastforward 3 months and the bits with just base coat are still lovely and white the bits with gloss are already turning a shade of yellow so my question is can i just go around my full house and repaint all the white wood with just a white base coat and leave it? i know it wont have a nice sheen on it but it doesnt last long anyways without going yellow its driving me mad

Base coat will look like, well, base coat. Buy some water based gloss paint, then it won't yellow like oil based gloss does.

use a water-based gloss, it will not yellow (won't be as glossy either though)

or buy Dulux Trade in tins with blue lids, which is the revised formula.
