Anyone used Vanish carpet cleaning products or similar?

Seen the Rug Doctor thread but just wonder if the carpet cleaning products (without a machine) are any good?

Looking for something that doesn't cost a lot but works!

They're very good for spot cleaning IME.

Depends what you've spilt. Vanish carpet cleaner doesn't get out dried mud!

Do not use the shake and vac style stuff esp on a dark carpet. It early killed my vacum cleaner. The spray is good for spot cleaning but if its a bigger area i suggest hiring a rug doctor.

I use the vanish spray foam all the time for cat vomit. It works pretty well.
