is there such a thing?

currently have an asthmatic bagless morphy richards one which is a little weak.
I want a small one, not an upright and not a henry. have many stairs and they would not be practical. must have bags, emptying the bagless thing gives me the creeps.

Dont make the mistake of getting a panasonic thinking it will be good.

It isnt. I'm looking out for mieles in the sales.

I could curse for buying the damn thing.

Nanny0gg · 18/08/2012 20:26

Sebo.

MousyMouse · 18/08/2012 21:08

the sebo ones are just as expensive. was looking around the 100£ mark.
will have a closer look at the bosch one around that mark.

I've got a Meile (not the pet one) and would recommend just spending the extra. We've had it 9 years no probs- it is great- I get eczema from dust so needed a good one, and it's really easy to get the bags. It was sooooo good I got one for my work (adults with learning disabilities)....and then they ended up getting an extra one and ditching the Henry! My mum has just got the pet Meile- she got fed up with her Sebo as it was too heavy- she works in John Lewis and sells vacuums so should know a thing or two- she's the one that convinced me not to go cheap and I'm glad she did, even though it ate into my beer money at the time (pre kids...pre house..). The bags sort of self close (if they are not stuffed), and the vacuum is easy to get up and down stairs (and to vacuum the stairs too)

My mil got their miele for £135 in the argos sale last year.

I covet it.

Dawndonna · 20/08/2012 12:38

I got a miele cat and dog in the Argos sale last year for £128.00. I will never buy anything else again. It works, beautifully. It was like getting new carpets!

ChickensArentEligableForGold · 20/08/2012 12:41

My Miele cat and dog is the basic model, £149 from John Lewis, and I love it so much I may send it a Christmas card.

AllOverIt · 22/08/2012 19:01

I'm another Miele cat and dog fan. I love mine so much. My carpets went a different colour the first time I used it.. BlushGrin

I would try and save to get one rather than just buy a cheaper version. Mine was £175 from Co-op online store...

Lemonylemon · 23/08/2012 13:14

I blew up my Dyson DC03 trying to vacuum cat hairs from the carpets. I bought a Miele cat & dog and I looove it sooo much.... It is a BEASTIE! Grin

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/08/2012 17:01

JL are doing miele cat and dog vacuums for £170.

I'm so tempted...

ThisIsNotHoneyDragon · 23/08/2012 17:05

I got mine second hand

Northernlurkerisonholiday · 23/08/2012 17:09

We have a miele. It came from John Lewis and is utterly brill. DO NOT buy something cheaper. Just save up and get a Miele. It's all the hoover you'll ever need.
