Door not properly closed?

Try googling the make and model and you should be able to find the instruction manual online

Driftwood999 · 24/06/2012 12:54

It could be the pause button.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 24/06/2012 12:59

The number of flashes probably tells you what the problem is. You need to find the manual (probably available online)

Found this too:

I found these error codes for the very old Servis Quarts washing machines -
F1 Water temperature circuit faulty
F2 Too long to fill
F3 Water not pumped out properly
F4 Motor fault
F5 Heater circuit fault
F7 Motor fault
Note, they may be different from modern Servis error codes and will be different to other washing machine manufacturer's codes.

That's why I keep all the instruction books for my appliances (cos I'm hopeless at technics)....

On my washing machine there's a little door at the bottom on the front, you open with a coin and have to take out a little pipe and let the water from it out into a basin. Only have to do it very occasionally.
When I have to do it I also get a red flashing sign and the machine won't go on.
Could it be that?

Itsallgoingtobefine, you've given me a horrendous flashback to when I had a Servis Quartz machine (bought 30 years ago when DD2 was born).

Practically every time I switched it on I got one of those 'F' messages.

I had every part replaced and got to know the engineer very well - he used to bring his children with him when he came to repair my machine! As soon as he left my house, I'd put a load of washing on and the bloody thing would flash at me again.

Eventually, Servis replaced it but the new machine wasn't much better.

What an experience AngrySad
