...because then I won't feel so bad about taking a tea break every now and again!

Sift through kids drawers and remove too small stuff, wrecked stuff
Sort clothes mountains into piles and put away
Put shopping away when it arrives
Tidy round bedrooms, make beds and hoover
Tidy round front room, dust and hoover - clean floor when DD2 is sleeping this afternoon
Tidy round kitchen, do the washing up and clean floor
Tidy round bathroom, bleach the toilet and clean the floor
Hoover hallway
Change our bed (did kids' yesterday)
Take rubbish out and disinfect bin
Sort out my paperwork ready for tonight
Do the kids lunch and wash up again
Wash towels and dry
Wash clothes mountains and hang outside to dry hardcore

Think that covers it all! Grin

Couldn't you have written it on a piece of paper/ Grin

LucyLastik · 06/06/2012 11:11

I have about 3 pieces of paper with the same list written on, but I thought doing it this way at least justified my being on MN at various points during the day! Grin

Could join you if you want.
Did it yesterday on here with someone else, helped us both.
Mine is cleaning all the way today Sad
Already done most of the rayburn, need to finish it.
Then hob.Oh the joy

LucyLastik · 06/06/2012 11:41

It's such a mission though isn't it? Made a million times harder by the DC running around getting everything out and not putting it back before they get something else out.

So, I have managed to sort the kids drawers out and have put most of the drawer stuff away. We are very limited on space in here, so it needs doing regularly. Very pleased with the end result. The kids have clothes they can find!

Have done the majority of the clothes mountains. The washing for 5 of us is relentless...

The toilet has bleach down it

and that's all I've done so far, but little and often is the way forward!

Shopping has just arrived so going to put it away and do the kids their lunch. Glad of the support!

My kids are older [I have several].At the coming and going stage.
1 here at moment,1 just left ,is the state of play this week.
So their personal belongings in a constant state of flux if that is the right word.
Reason for extra cleaning is partly because DH has attacked pruned some trees so more light coming into some rooms so I can see what I previously couldnt see Shock

amillionyears · 06/06/2012 12:09

Done hob and rayburn.
Didnt know it was so late in the morning.
Having a break.

LucyLastik · 06/06/2012 12:30

Ok, have put shopping away and made kids lunch. Going to boil the kettle for tea whilst I wash up. DD2 will shortly be going for afternoon sleep time so that will give me a chance to do the floors. Better get hustling DD1 and DS then!

amillionyears, I was up relatively early for half term and still didn't get as much done as I wanted to!

LucyLastik · 06/06/2012 16:50

oh dear Blush

I fell asleep shortly after DD2 did, so washed the floors as planned and sat down for 5 minutes... and fell asleep. DD1 got DD2 up when she woke and has been keeping her entertained for the last hour or so.

It's now dinner time Blush

How did you get on?

Grin I thought it might have been something like that!
I can remember what it was like, but time is making the memories dimmer!
And well done to your DD1

Did quite well actually.Doing these postings with you definitely helped.
Didnt start the day with specific cleaning jobs in mind,so made it up as I went along.Even got to the point of deciding I need to take down the kitchen curtains and give them a wash.

Hope you all have a nice evening.
