What's your idea of a perfectly made bed?

All white sheets and covers? Two pillows per person? 3 pillows per person including those giant square pillows? A bolster? Rug at the bottom?

Just curious. For the first time in my life I have pregnancy nesting fever and want ideas :o

One made by somebody else for me Grin

Yes, two pillows per person, sheet and duvet/blanket and extra blanket on the bottom.

No bolsters or big square annoying cushions.

I refuse to admit I have watched people do this on youtube all the hotel chains seem to have their own video on the matter, and the most faffy one is Disney

My bedding is white, 2 pillows each, white duvet folded back a bit, two little square cushions in grey, and a grey throw. Not a lot of faff.

Ooh I love making my bed in the morning! DH isn't allowed to help as he does it "wrong"

Currently white bedding with a 3d decorative strip, 2 pillows though the ones that match the duvet do NOT get slept on. We only sleep with one pillow each so use the nice 500 thread count ones that match the bottom sheet. Throw draped over end of the bed at an angle and 4 cushions that's I made out of Laura Ashley fabric that matches the feature wall wallpaper in front of the pillows. Pillows and cushions must be "stood up" not flat if that makes sense?!

I admit I'm a bit of an organised control freak and being 39 weeks pregnant doesn't help the fact!!

White 500 percale, drawn back, two pillows each and a throw.
Two base sheets also ( much nicer) before dh i always had a loose sheet between me and duvet but he didn't like that. I did.

CLEAN fresh bedding makes me so happy. It needs to be line dried smelling of the wind.

IamtheSnorkMaiden · 24/05/2012 21:42

Definitely smelling of THE wind, not just smelling of wind.

One that's been aired and I can just get in without faffing about. I do have cushions on mine but they get thrown on the floor as I flop. I prefer a fitted sheet and if the top sheet is straight I'm happy. I don't do hospital corners or bouncing a coin to make sure the sheets are tucked in properly, I am not a control freakGrin.

White sheets, purple bedspread, two pillows for show but I only use one. I have 2 annoying Grin white square cushions and three annoyingGrin Grinpurple square cushions. My duvet is currently without a cover Shock as the only one we have is in the wash.

Grin at snorkmaiden and wind-smelling bedclothes

TheMoistWorldOfSeptimusQuench · 27/05/2012 00:33

Got to be proper crispy white cotton, none of your polycotton shite. And it's also got to be ironed - makes all the difference. I like a square pillow with a normal one on top.

And a nice bedspread or throw, folded over at the bottom, for aesthetic purposes.

Whizkidwithacrazystreak · 27/05/2012 23:29

600 thread cotton sateen, fitted sheet with top sheet and hospital corners. All white, two pillows each and a limitless cushion for reading.

Whizkidwithacrazystreak · 27/05/2012 23:30

* little *

mummmsy · 29/05/2012 00:33

one that's been changed in at least the last 3 weeks Shock

BoffinMum · 29/05/2012 20:33

Top quality quilted mattress cover, cotton fitted sheet, cotton Oxford pilowcases, Hungarian goose down duvet with cotton cover. Two pillows per person - one firm, one medium. Possibly a little throw at the bottom of the bed.
