Can anyone please introduce me <gently> into the ways of flylady?

My house is a state, I'm getting a bit overwhelmed by the constant task of cleaning/tidying. I hear flylady is good for this?
But where do I start? How do I do it each day?
Any advice much appreciated please, I NEED To get some organisation in place and soon! :)

You dont have to do it all but a lot of advice is sound. These mantras have helped me:- You can do anything for 15 mins Dont pull out more than you can put back in 15 mins
Swish and swipe.
Hotspots
Shine your sink
and I sometimes look to see which zone it is (on 5 week cycle I think)and
Daily Mission .

I find housework a bit boring and repetitive so anything that gets me doing a bit more is good.
I have also just rated all the rooms in my house out of 10 in an effort to shame myself into improving them!!!

Put a 'No flyers or free papers' sign on your door.

Phone the mail preference service. Get rid of the junk mail at the source.

Fill boxes and bags for stuff to take to charity shops and place them straight away in the boot of the car - stuff can tend to creep back out of them.

I'm only a lurker on this topic as I'm well - bone idle might be the best description.. I've also rated my rooms on a mark out of ten in the past! I've also counted how many bits of rubbish, stuff lying around in each room. And then got it down. I always get stuff out of charity bags. Even once they're in the carboot.

Kitchen has gone up a few points but washing and food shopping needed doing too

I don't think my house has a hope till I get rid of some more stuff. Books are one of the worse things. I did get rid of quite a few and then bought quite a lot more. Can't resist charity shop books especially if there is a sale on. And if I have clothes I hate but haven't worn I find them impossible to get rid off. Am going to try and prune a bit this week.
