Has anyone bought one of those mattresses that comes rolled up?

DS needs to move from his junior bed to a single. My friend has kindly given me an unwanted bed base but I need a mattress. I've just seen this coming up at Lidl later this week and am wondering if it'd be ok. Money is really tight and it's half the price of the one I was looking at on mattressman.co.uk. Any opinions?

I bought one from Ikea that came rolled up. It was fine, went flat and puffed up a bit after you unrolled it, and was also bargain price. I would go for it.

We got one from Ebay which came rolled up. We laid it on the bed and over about six hours it puffed up to a whopping 11 inches thick!

yup very comfy, did have to buy an expensive topper for it though because it was memory foam so too sweaty (as in soaked sheets in the morning Blush

i have one on my bed, not lidl one though, it is really comfy.

make sure you leave it somewhere to air for a few days, preferably for a week, before you use it as they have a really strong chemical smell to begin with.
