Ok I can't RIGHT now as dd isn't too well and is sleeping on me but this afternoon and tomorrow I need to sort stuff out.

To do...

Sort stuff for cash for clothes shop

Sort stuff for car boot sale and label it maybe?

Put all pre bought presents /cards etc into a box together

Clear out kitchen cupboards

I have loads more that needs done but am trying to be realistic!

May I join you please?

I have been trying to get myself sorted for so long but never seem to achieve much.

Over the last 6 months, I have sold over £2,000 worth of stuff on eBay but the eBay room cupboard box is still overflowing. I sold a skirt nearly 4 weeks ago and can't find it. The buyer has been extremely patient but this weekend has to be the deadline for finding it.

I look at the chaos upstairs and just don't know where to start. My sisters were supposed to come tomorrow to motivate me but I have to work until 2pm so have postponed their visit for a couple of weeks which is good because I'd be so embarrassed if they saw the true extent of the mess I'm in BlushSad.

So, at 2pm tomorrow, the tv is going off. The iPad/computer are only to be used for listing eBay items.

My main goal tomorrow is to photograph and list on eBay the box full of clothes that is currently in the middle of my kitchen floor.

I also have a lot of left over carboot stuff from last year so I'd like to get it all together and find a bootsale on Sunday to get rid of as much as possible.

If there is any time left, I need to sort out three a couple of years worth of paperwork.

OMG. 2 grand?! Wow. Well done! What the hell did you sell? I don't think my house full of tat would make 2 pound!!

I have so much baby stuff to get rid of :( won't get much for it though. Also don't have a computer so listing on ebay is tricky. Really need to make some money though as we are skint.

Yes yes to joining me - good luck!

There were a few pushchairs, ds' loft bed, perfume, handbags and various other crap treasures!

I've seen a house that I want to buy but I don't make enough profit to get a mortgage so I thought if I sold everything in my house it'd help me build up a deposit and clear the masses of clutter . unfortunately, all the high value items have now sold and I'm left with the 99p things...I could probably still raise another grand with just that stuff though Blush.

I will be back when i finish work at 2pm tomorrow to check in and make a start on my list!

Btw, if you have a smartphone, the eBay app is great for selling. I haven't tried it on my mobile but I use it on the iPad and it's so much easier than on the computer. It takes a couple of minutes, it's really simple.

Can I join in please?

Having just reclaimed my home, ie decided enough is enough with live-in maids (almost compulsory for expats here) I'm currently shoving stuff into cupboards because we're trying to sell the house.

So far I've managed to keep the kitchen surfaces clear this week, and found a space in the utility, by putting stuff away, to store the ironing pile.

After the weekend I plan to start re-arranging cupboard contents. Call me fussy but I can't see the logic of dog biscuits under the floor wax. Gotta get rid of a load of recycling too.

A live in maid? What's not to like?

So far I have packed up 8 black bags for the cash for clothes shop, one box for selling, 2 boxes of toiys for charity and 6 black bags of rubbish and broken stuff etc. Quite cathartic though a teeny part of me is sad to be getting rid of baby stuff

That's what I used to think Left, but it turned out to be more stressful than doing the house work myself.

So, tomorrow I'll be re-organising wardrobes and bagging up the recycling-mostly Clothes which the DCs have grown out of.

I know what you mean about the Baby stuff, I still have a few things I'm hanging on to

leftmysociallifeatthedoor · 21/04/2012 22:12

Well I've finally sorted dd's new room. It has been FULL of crap stuff for years so I am very relieved and overly proud. I've also put all wrapping paper / cards etc etc in one place and boxed up car boot stuff.

Tomorrow I might start on the kitchen but if the weathers nice we might try and get out with the kids. Could do with listing some things on ebay / in paper.

Mogs - how did you get on?
