Hi Cats.

CamperWidow · 11/04/2012 08:51

Oh Josie!!! Boak! Hope DD wasn't too traumatised?

Ta Da
up and dressed
beds made
sink shiny
wm on
what's for dinner
calender checked
bathroom swished and swiped

To Do
hoover
put clothes away
potty train 2.7 year old Grin
wean 6 month old Grin
bit of a deep clean in kitchen - microwave, fridge, worktops, cupboards
clean the fish filter
do some excercise
do some painting with Lollipop

I'm sure there's loads more but........:)

carrotsandcelery · 11/04/2012 08:53

Camper it is good to have you back. I hope you enjoyed your trip.

CamperWidow · 11/04/2012 09:25

Hi Carrots, yeah it was good thanks! Really quite stressful as these things can be, you know, running around trying to cram loads of things in, no-one making a descision in case they upset some-one else, me having to play the bad guy when MIL wants to feed the 6 month old coffee foam (I know, not that bad really but it wouldn't stop there!) and then getting back and dealing with all the mess/washing/kids on my own after 5 days of 4 adults attention!

Anyhoo, adding to my list
To do;
go for a walk for Lollipop to get her reward sticker
start planning new Beavers
de-clutter Herman cake
sort clothes for charity

carrotsandcelery · 11/04/2012 09:29

Going away can be really stressful when you are the Mum and trying to keep everyone happy. I am Shock at the coffee foam for a 6 month old. I am really uptight because I wouldn't let it near my dcs and they are 11 and 7 [over protective]

CamperWidow · 11/04/2012 10:35

Carrots she means really well and is lovely and Muddles is doing really well with her eating, but she does worry me sometimes! We don't have coffee in the house, neither I nor DH like it, and I've only just starting giving the toddler sips of my tea! She also let Lollipop stand up in the trolley which I hate with a passion! Fortunatly DH spotted it and took her out before I had to say something Grin

Ta Da
potty training going well! (that's boshed it! Grin)
Herman started to be decluttered - and very nice too!
clothes away
filter cleaned

Longtalljosie · 11/04/2012 10:58

DD is 2 and I thought it'd passed her by tbh, then 10 minutes later she said "poor little mouse", so evidently not!

So - today's ta das

Floor swept
Floor mopped
Mop head washed
AA called and car battery pronounced knackered

To do:
Playdate with DD's friend supervised (at the moment Peppa Pig is doing most of the legwork - but in my defence we have been out in the garden until just now)
One more load of washing
Take car to garage (assuming it starts) for replacement battery

carrotsandcelery · 11/04/2012 11:34

I have the same with my dmil Camper. I love her and she means well but sometimes she makes the strangest choices. The trickiest thing is that even if she is told/asked she completely ignores and does her own sweet thing.

A few years ago she had dd watching CSI with dismembered bodies in it and all sorts. She was 9 at the time and still watching cbeebies at home Shock

carrotsandcelery · 11/04/2012 11:37

long poor dd. Hopefully it won't make a lasting impression. Sad

Ta Das:
washing hung. I have run out of drying room as I hung a load at 11pm and not all of it has dried due to heating/oil problems.

Dd has finished her ironing I think. Phew!

Ebay parcels packed ready to go.

washed (cold bath) and dressed ready to go out.

CatsSleepAnywhere · 11/04/2012 11:51

Ta da's so far:

Made beds
breakfast
get dressed
sorted some paperwork (hotspot)
tidied the sofa cushions and blankets.

Am off to start washing up in a mo.

Hey long, good to see you back & HUGE congratulations!

I am ill, so have done nothing today. DH stayed home this morning to look after DD2 (DD1 @ pre-school) & my mum has come round this afternoon.

Hi zoo, I have been to bank (couldn't bury head in sand any longer). Then I have started a thread in "credit crunch". We are in "desperation city" Sad

Longtalljosie · 11/04/2012 17:44

Oh dear Cats, that sounds grim Wine / Brew

carrotsandcelery · 11/04/2012 20:36

Cats is there anything you could sell that would get you through this without dipping into the next pay packet and continuing the problem?

Ebay takes quite a while but I think the local papers and Gumtree might be more instant.

We got into a mess recently and I have got us back on a more or less even keel by selling stuff on ebay. It helps with the decluttering and motivation to declutter as well.

carrotsandcelery · 11/04/2012 20:37

bessie I am sorry to hear you are not well. What is wrong? Thank goodness you have some local support and don't have to try to get through the whole day ill with 2 little ones. It is still rubbish though. I hope you get well soon.

carrotsandcelery · 11/04/2012 20:38

zoo have you named the kittens?

bessie26 · 11/04/2012 20:45

I have been vomitting since last night. Thought I was on the mend, but the tiny amount of food I managed to eat this evening hasn't stayed down so I am going back to bed in the hope that I feel better in the morning.

carrotsandcelery · 11/04/2012 20:48

Oh no bessie that is horrid. Poor you. Tiny sips of water or suck some ice maybe until tomorrow. I hope you sleep well and feel better tomorrow.

Longtalljosie · 11/04/2012 21:23

Oh dear Bessie. I think you're right, sleep's the best thing...

carrotsandcelery · 11/04/2012 21:30

Cats I was just thinking about the money thing again and soup is a very cheap filler - it can make some cheap veg and some red lentils go a long way. I am sure you know that already though.

CatsSleepAnywhere · 11/04/2012 21:41

bessie hope you feel better soon.

carrots I raided DD's piggy bank, she had around £13. so I borrowed it and went shopping for a few essentials.
I have some potatoes, they are quite useful in different ways.
I need to find out if and when we will get tax credits.
