Hi sarah Welcome to the thread. Smile

To Do/Ta Dad:
Get Toddler & I dressed
washing up for Monday
wash down stove
separate meat & freeze
prep Toddler's flower seeds (we did veg seeds last week) we're growing them inside first--
iron MrScout's work shirts (have about 10 to do)
declutter ironing board so I can iron above shirts
take recycling to bin
trip to tip
Tesco -- recycling (you can get club card points which we then turn into air miles which help towards our trip home)
Tesco -- get bits & pieces we missed from weekend shop as well as milk top up
email MiL
write letters/cards (x3)
print origami instructions
outside with Toddler (walk? playground?)

What I'd like to do but don't know if I'll get to:
strip Toddler's bed
remake Toddler's bed
strip our bed
remake our bed
go to launderette to do huge load of sheets (our washer barely holds our fitted sheet and I just want to do them all at once and be done)
go to Guiding village to return craft stuff and find out where the duck pond is for Wednesday's Seniors meeting (and feed ducks while there)
pack up for Wednesday's Seniors meeting
make play dough for Wednesday's Seniors meeting
post office -- post packages & letters and bulk buy stamps

I don't think anything outside of the house is going to happen.

Hello sarah.

We're now cuddling and watching cartoon DVDs. He's coughing phlegm and doesn't want to play any more.

sarahfreck · 16/04/2012 14:30

hi Cats and Scout.

Cats - you don't fancy coming and doing my draining board too do you? It is disgusting and not helped by current painting project.
Scout - achieving anything with a sick toddler is awesome!

Ta Das:

Scout19075 · 16/04/2012 21:10

Last Ta Dah of the night:

To Do/Ta Dad:
wash down stove
iron MrScout's work shirts (have about 10 to do)
declutter ironing board so I can iron above shirts
take recycling to bin
trip to tip
Tesco -- recycling (you can get club card points which we then turn into air miles which help towards our trip home)
Tesco -- get bits & pieces we missed from weekend shop as well as milk top up
email MiL
write letters/cards (x3)
print origami instructions
outside with Toddler (walk? playground?)
take nappies to the bin
washed up all of Monday's dishes except what MrScout is going to use when he gets home

We didn't do anything outside. I might try to go to Tesco when MrScout gets home so that means I can do the recycling and get the milk.

carrotsandcelery · 16/04/2012 21:15

It has taken me an hour and a half to put the dcs to bed and would have taken longer if dh hadn't arrived home in the middle of it and helped out.

bessie26 · 16/04/2012 21:33

Ta Da

  • took DD1 to her swimming lesson
  • WM/TD
  • hot spots x2
  • finishing touches to meal plan
  • online food order

DH made dinner, so I'm hoping he's done the sink for me....

Need to start making a list of what we're going to take on holiday next week! Grin

carrotsandcelery · 16/04/2012 21:34

Oooh! Where are you going bessie?

bessie26 · 16/04/2012 22:03

No-where exciting carrots, just Centre Parcs. It's not too far away from us, and the price isn't too horrendous when you can go during term-time.

carrotsandcelery · 16/04/2012 22:12

Let me know what you think of it please bessie. We have never been but have wondered about it.

Dh is a bit crowd phobic/social phobic (although much better these days) so I suspect in school holidays it would be too much for him.

The people I know who have been keep going back though so that says a lot really.

bessie26 · 16/04/2012 22:54

We've been a few times. I was a bit sneery the first time I went, thinking it was just a ponced up Butlins (which I suppose it is really), but it's really nice, and very easy for the kids. We usually do swimming in the morning & playground things in the afternoon. There are loads of other activities, but more for older kids than ours.

The one we have been to is very foresty & nicely laid out (cars are banned from site other than on start/end dates, so have to walk/cycle everywhere), but does get very busy around the shops/restaurants.

The price difference between holidays & term time is shocking, but I guess that is true where ever you go?

CamperWidow · 17/04/2012 08:09

Morning ladies!
Ta da:
up and dressed
shiny sink
beds made
swish and swipe
breakfasted
wm on
what's for tea
calender checked
bathroom mission done
10 minute bedroom blitz

To do:
paint pirate tresure box
make treasure
have a princess party
potty training
weaning
put clothes away
turn matresses
clean gunk in wm drawer
sort through the girls books for any that can 'bless' someone else
do bed laundry
15 minute rescue of living room
15 minute rescue of kitchen

carrotsandcelery · 17/04/2012 08:43

Ooooh! A party! Have fun!

bessie I think we would probably love it. DD in particular is very keen to try out loads of activities and all holidays we take revolve around swimming every morning.

Dh will only be persuaded if someone at work says it is great though, not if I do, and we would be tied to holiday times as well...

CamperWidow · 17/04/2012 09:26

Carrots it will extend as far as making princess hats and digging out the play food. Oh, and probably watching the ballet version of Alice we have and dancing around like edjits!!!! Grin We have done our boxes and are eating Pizza!

CatsSleepAnywhere · 17/04/2012 09:53

Morning all, I feel I am having a day of few words Confused.

I will lurk on and off though.

My plan for this morning is try to do some paperwork --a job I usually avoid--

OP posts:
carrotsandcelery · 17/04/2012 09:56

Hi Cats! Get some cheerful music on while you work or an interesting radio show to keep your brain occupied while you work. It feels great once you have done it.

carrotsandcelery · 17/04/2012 09:58

Ta Das:

washed and dressed
dcs breakfasted
ds's snacks and lunch made
dcs to school (inc dd's tantrum)
wm on
worktops cleaned

Having my breakfast and a Brew now and then will get going again.

sarahfreck · 17/04/2012 10:23

Morning all. Phew - it has been hard work getting going this morning!

Ta Da update from yesterday:

Prepare 3 lessons
Tidy kitchen and wipe round surfaces
Collect car
take out recycling to bins (forgot to take it when I went to get car!)
teach 3 lessons
(hopefully) carry on with woodgraining/craft project before the sight of paintbrushes in the kitchen sink gets totally on my nerves and my spare room becomes a total black hole of gloom, clutter, dirt and darkness (it is hard to clean round such a diy project as bits of it are everywhere!)

Today

Ta Das:
Up, showered and breakfasted
Shower squeegeed and wiped round
Dishwasher filled and set going ( I luuurve this machine!)
Hair partially dried Blush

To dos ( must)
Work
Write up 3 lessons
prepare 2 lessons
teach 2 lessons
do urgent financial admin

Household etc
Wipe round kitchen surfaces
take out recycling ( before the flat descends into a swamp of paper and card)

To Dos ( would like to)
prepare another lesson for later in the week
vacuum work room
sort a random pile of paperwork from workroom
work filing
do less urgent financial admin
more woodgraining/craft
quick Morrisons shop
wrap a birthday present

I am not feeling inspired! ( except for lesson prep and teaching which I do really enjoy)

sarahfreck · 17/04/2012 10:30

PS - Cats - I hope you get some paperwork done and feel a great sense of satisfaction from it.
Hi to Bessie and Camper
