Wondering if anyone can advise to get oil stain out of a cotton dress I have. I realise now it just be oil though I have put it through a normal 40 degree wash & it's still there but I'm worried if I've "sealed it in". Aggh! Only had the dress for 5 mins

Dr Beckmann's stain removers are good, and I've had success using these on cooking stains even after the clothes have been through the wash. You can also use swarfega on oil/grease marks, though it makes your washing pong! Or a bit of washing up liquid.

Washing up liquid is good, best if applied when you first spill the oil, but can help retrospectively.

Neat fairy liquid on the stain before washing as usual.

Thank you all Smile And I actually have some swafega under the sink!
