Now it's flashing up an error message F1 and there are bubbles flooding out of it. Can't find my manual. Has she killed it??

turn it off and bale out the foam.

then put it on a cold rinse cycle, the first thing it will do is try to pump out the sump (it will not be able to pump out foam) and make up some ordinary soap dissolved in warm water, spray that on the foam to make it go down. You can leave the door open while the foam flattens.

Then let it go through a wash cycle after adding some buuter, cooking oil or fat in it. The detergent will bond with the fat. Once it has stopped foaming, give it a cycle with the ordinary dishwasher tap to clean away the remaining fat.

p.s. if you look in the instruction book it will tell you what F1 means.

I have heard of this before. Two options.

Open the door and mop up the foam or chuck a block of butter in there and close the door. The fats do something to dissipate the bubbles.

I'd open it up and clean it out though. Then run cold rinses until the bubbles go.

F1 appears to be the flood detector basin filling up. It might reset if you leave it unplugged for a while during your foam-baling. If not it should be possible to mop out the basin.

about 1 min 30 in.

Check spelling of the manufacturer's name before googling.

Op, this happened to me in a rented house in my fp dishwasher except I was the idiot with the dish washing liquid. Google the model number, instruction manual is online with an explaination of all the error codes. Iirc, all we had to do was not use it for a fortnight, may have had to leave both draws open. Worked perfectly after the fortnight, but doing dishes during that time was a right pita.
