Has anyone seen Kitchenaid blenders on offer (and are they worth the money)?

My blender has given up the ghost and I am looking at a Kitchenaid as a replacement because I want something that will last (previous one did 10 years so not bad but it was £££). Does anyone know if they are as good as they claim (reviews and lady in cooking shop say yes but they may be biased!) and if I can get one a little bit cheaper anywhere?

Not sure if you're still looking, but Sainsbury's have the Kenwood Prospero on offer at £99.99 until Feb 29th. Not quite a KitchenAid, but still ace for the money! There's a thread on Chat if you're interested.

Thanks for this, I saw the thread and bought the Prospero! Not quite a Kitchenaid but I'm really pleased with it, a mixer and blender for less than I was looking to spend, very happy :)
