How do you get rid of the smell of vomit?

DD has the winter vomiting bug, she has been sick more times and in greater quantity than I would have thought possible. I've cleaned everything thorougly, any textiles, clothing that got splashed is in the wash, I have scrubbed laminate and vinyl floors within an inch of their life, and still the smell of puke lingers... I've even left windows open for hours in the snow to air the place, to no avail.

Xmas Confused

Do I need to go out and buy an air freshner of some kind?

Disinfectant on lainate/vinyl and mix of bicarbonate of soda and water on textiles (mattresses - have had to do this) then vac up the dried bicarb after a few hours/overnight.

Amazing how much they can produce isn't it?! (in a bad, holy shit will this never end way)

Thank you, it is astonishing, how much a small person can spew! She's never had a bug this bad before.

I am running around trying to get ahead with all chores, because I know it is a matter of time before I'm ill too, given the number of times I've been puked on Xmas Sad

oh no

good luck with the chores but maybe make sure you've got the supplies in - bananas/digestive biscuity/flat coke type stuff. It's hideous isn't it.
