Help please white spirit on lovely wooden chopping board!!!!

I've been decorating and stupidly put a bag of rags on my lovely big wooden chopping board. They had been used with white spirit to wipe up paint. The bag had a hole in and there is a big oily stain on the chopping board and it reeks of white spirit.

Is there any way to get it out? I'm worried about using stuff to clean it because of mixing chemicals etc. If I just leave it will the white spirit eventually evaporate and leave the board safe to use?

It was bloody expensive too. (the board not the white spirit).

leave it outside to air for a few days. If it is in sunlight that will help dry it off.

If you put it on top of a radiator the heat will probably make it crack and warp.

When it seems to have gone, wash it in hot water with fairy a couple of times.

Mostly it is just time and it will slowly evaporate and lose its smell.

BTW you can feed a wooden chopping board by rubbing it with cooking oil occasionally. No pool, just enough to darken the surface. Don't do yours until the smell has gone though or you may seal it in.
