my computer seems to have now defaulted to a Russian Firefox search engine, meaning every instruction is in Russian

Yesterday was seriously hectic, trying to get ds1 back to school for evening do and at the same time finish ds2's Powerpoint with him and attend two parents' eve appts. It turns out that he can't do Powerpoint
whereas dd made it look deceptively simple. So we had to borrow her, cue a lot of head tossing.
Mass was fine, though it was all a bit late, they sang lovely songs.
Priest gave a sermon about how we were the childrens' first teachers, and we should sit down and help them with their homework every night
Judging by the standard of work on display that was what was happening in every household....
The cell models were AMAZING. I felt embarassed at the plasticine model we had sent in. Every parent said their children were finding homework a trial. So that's a relief.
Met ds1's teacher, and felt he was having social difficulties, although she didn't quite articulate it
It wasn't a parents' eve,just social occasion...
Every bit of my message is underlined in red, obviously spellchekc Russian does not recognise it
House now a complete and utter tip in every room. Builder here again today.
Rowing if you ever look back on the old Flylady threads from about two or three years ago, you will see the lists and lists we all used to do before giving children's parties...I feel a bit more blase now, but just getting the timing right for the pizza fingers - suffice it to say I feel your pain.
In the end they don't eat much (visiting Mums/Dads do though!), and they just want it to be standard party fare, and it always goes well, as long as birthday boy/girl is happy! You can buy a lovely party mix CD from ELC I completely recommend it for musical bumps etc. Stickers sound a v.good idea for prizes, very non-confrontational unlike sweeties/prizes!
