I haven't got any laminate floors so I don't need a steam mop, right?

As so often happens on mn, I am aware of a lot of background chatter - this time its about steam mops.

But I don't need one, do I, and I don't need to google them and start reading customer reviews of them, or even old threads on mn about them

do I?

What's a steam mop? This has obviously passed me by and I live on MN. I have laminate floors and just hoover them and wipe with laminate cleaner. My floors seem clean enough to me.

There's about a thousand thread titles on steam mops! How can you have missed them? Call yourself a regular?? pah.

I think my naturally slovenly nature must forbid my brain to process too many cleaning threads. Can't think how this one slipped in
