Could you please help me find a 40th birthday present for my friend?

She's a keen cook and baker, but is also stubbornly retro and refuses to throw ANYTHING away! She still uses a VHS recorder, and has her own cassette marked "mum's tape." New technology is something to be suspicious of, avoided or ignored.

I thought of buying her a Goblin Teasmade, but I suspect she assume I'd spent 50p on it from a junk shop and then be all hurt.

So what do you think would be good? Budget about £80.

By way of an update, I ended up getting her a GrownUpLady present, which was also the bargain of my life! I bought her a Waterford Crystal clock and candlesticks by John Rocha. RRP £330, paid £75! Huzzah!
