storing baby /childrens clothes in binbags?

do you think that this is ok..or will chemicals from the plastic go on to the clothes?

They may well go mouldy as a result of lack of air or something. It happened to someone I used to know.

I did it and they were fine but they were in a ventilated loft. They were up there for a couple of years before i got them down again to give to a friend. You could use one of those vacume bags or an old suitcase. One thing i did find is that the elastic on some of the clothes had gone. Be careful with white things though as they might go yellow.

I know it sounds a bit nobby but I bought clear bing bags from tinternet when we moved.
I could see exactly what was in them, and where the clothes were and now use them for storage in the loft. No more rummaging.

From www.linersbagssacks.co.uk or something v similar.
