I have ikea dinig chairs with cream cusions/ padded seat bit. They are looking a bit shabby after the dc effect. I could wash them but I'd rather have a change and patterned fabric.

What do I look for in a fabric?

TIA :)

something hard wearing. upholstery cotton. avoid chenille, velvet or cord as they don't wear well. buy the fabric and pre-wash it before doing any sewing to allow for any shrinkage.

Cheers! Where can I buy upholstery cotton?

try dunelm. fabric of that weight will be expensive to post if you buy online.
