Could this be the quickest, most secure way to dispose of unwanted receipts\documentation?

I have been so bored I've been sorting out my piles of receipts Grin. It's odd how quickly the pile of receipts grow Blush

And I was wondering how to get rid of (safely) them without using my extremely noisy home shredder which only does 3-4 at a time without getting jammed, or using a pair of pinking shears.

Then I had the brainwave of putting all the receipts into a basin of water, leaving them to soak for around 30 minutes. I drained the water and then screwed the whole lot into a huge sodden ball which I put in the bin!

I defy anyone to get any info out of that Grin

When I had rats I used to put them in their cage to be shredded for bedding :)

Things like bills and bank statements etc anyway. Why would you have to dispose of receipts? What for?

Pmsl! How did your mind come up with that as a solution? You should be proud of innovative thinking!

peeriebear I should have made it clear am only securely disposing of receipts with credit/debit card details. Like the rats idea though, saves having to buy pet bedding.

BluddyMoFo Burning would be quicker Grin, but what about the smell and poss danger?

takewhatyoucan I know, I'm feeling quite proud of myself Smile

Unless your receipts are truly ancient they should only have the first 6 digits and the last 4. Not enough to identify the full credit card number.

I just put them in the recycling bin as the full number details are not printed on them.
