I seem to be hosting Come Dine With Me..for ants (Nippon with a raspberry coulis on the menu)

I've been feeding them Nippon for nearly two weeks and oh how they LOVE it

But I seem to have even more of the blighters than ever. They are positively thriving on Nippon They're now inviting their mates to join them.

Can they become immune to it? Will they ever just bog off and leave my kitchen in peace?

Try following them back to their nest if you can see where they are coming in from then pour boiling water down the nest - it seems cruel but it works. Alternatively they don't like talcum powder so try sprinkling that about!

I use Ant Bait stations which you can buy from Lakeland. No mess, and they seem to get rid of the ants effectively.

Thanks so much! I've not heard of bait stations, will try and get one.

They seem to be coming up from behind my fitted worktop, I'd love to chuck a kettle on them but there's no way I can get in behind it to have a look.

They're there again now. I've just put down some more Nippon and they're tucking in to that and looking very well on it

Umm maybe the antbait stations is the way to go. Will bear it in mind in case my colony return in the summer!
