tips for getting rid of stains on mattresses anyone?

Sounds really gross doesnt it?

What should I scrub with for best results?

Mattress is cream coloured and staining is old yellowy blood... (from nosebleeds.... honest )

Maybe a stain devil?
For future reference get a mattress protector - we got one for the dc's beds for accidents and also for ours too when we bought a new mattress. Mattresses are so expensive aren't they so I wanted to keep ours clean for as long as possible - it's more hygenic too.
