it says not to use on standing water, but is only standing as it's blocked!! Has anyone used it on a blocked dishwater and it has worked? Thanks

If your dishwasher's blocked try cleaning the filter and running the machine empty on the hottest cycle with bleach first. It may corrode the metal?

*Mr Muscle may corrode the metal I meant! Also there are some nasty chemicals in it which may poison you!

if there is water in the bottom then use a small cup to scoop it out into a basin/bucket. Then use sponge/cloth to soak up the rest so you can get to the filters. I had to do this the other day as, for some reason, my washing machine drained into the dishwasher!!

have you checked the waste hose to see if it is twisted/blocked?

I chuck a load of soda crystals in my dishwasher to clean it.

Anything that has "foam" in the name sounds like it shouldn't go in the dishwasher to me!

mousymouse · 06/04/2011 08:44

agree with the foam, I once stupidlly thought I could use washing up liquid when I ran out of tabs for the mashine.
it was a porridge moment, the foam came out of the seams of the dishwasher and it made a very unhealthy sound. only a piece of butter thrown into the dishwasher from a distance could rectify this...

bessie26 · 06/04/2011 12:14

Butter??!?!

mousymouse · 06/04/2011 12:50

well any kind of fat will do to get rid of the foam...
