I was putting a bowl with a dough in a pot filled with warm water and it overflowed. I didn't think it wasn't that much water, but apparently it was as 15 minutes later the electricity went off in the whole house.
Called DP, he came and found the problem was with the oven- he thinks the water dripped down to some electric err...wires or whatever.

It was not on at the time- but it was plugged in so the lights weree on iyswim.

Will it eventually dry out? Or is the damage already doen?

And it's not supposed to do that, is it? I mean, how many times water overboils etc.

Arrrgh. DP is smirking and obv. thinks I'm an idiot.

And I can't bake my bilberry buns!

Sorry, to be clear- the pot was on the hob at the time and DP thinks the water went inside the oven through the hole/spaces in/around the sparky thing.
