Can I use Brasso to clean a brushed steel brabantia bin?

I have bought some Brasso hoping to clean the outside of the oven, the hob & mainly the bin but DH thinks it's a bad idea as it's abrasive. Is he right?

yes I think he's prob right.

Try Johnson's baby oil. Seriously.

No, dh is right!

Use wet wipes then oil.

A good wash with multi-surface cleaner (or Bang if it's filthy) and rub a wee bit of baby oil in. sorted. No need for brasso.

Grr how annyong that he's right!

I'm baby wiping at the moment, but it's the water marks I want to get rid of so I'll give the baby oil a go!

Thanks all

We wouldn't advise Braso on Brabantia bins.

Brushed stainless steel is best cleaned with a micro fibre cloth and a glass cleaner. A drop of olive oil on a dry cloth also removes marks easily and also slows down the appearance of new marks like fingerprints. Never use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents, especially on plastic parts of the product
