How do I get bouncy putty out of bedding and a fleece sleepsuit?

I've just woken DD2 up and found her stuck to her bedding by a large amount of purple bouncy putty. She's slept on it all night and it's on the fleece sleepsuit she was wearing, two pillow cases and a light pink quilt cover.

I don't know whether to sit for ages trying to pick most of it off, put it in the freezer then try to break it off or put it in the washing machine.

If I wash it do I use a hot or cold wash?

Has anyone had this problem and solved it?

You could try the old 'kitchen roll over the blob and iron to melt it' routine

or it might be easier just to chuck the lot tbh

That's one I hadn't thought of. I wonder if I could justify a new iron that way too Grin

Well I found a successful solution.

I scraped off what I could with a knife. Then I scrubbed the remaining patch with neat washing up liquid followed by a hot machine wash. It's as good as new.
