how to get stain out of oilcloth plastic tablecloth?

ours is light blue and has been stained by pasta sauce and paint. how can i get it out?
i thought they were inpenetrable!

They're definately penetrable. Have you stuck it in the washing machine? - they cope well at 40C, and that might help. Alternatively that kitchen cleaner spray with bleach stuff seems to work well on stains on oilskin without bleaching the colour - but test my theory on an out of the way bit before you go nuts.
