Tall thin glass jars for storing vanilla pods and cinnamon sticks... I can't find them anywhere!!!

Has any one seen something suitable? Like a tall slender jam jar. Needs to be about 17cm high and not too wide. Am going nuts trying to find some...

Umm buy value range dried herbs throw them away and use those.

Hi WMMC, thing is that herb jars are too short. I'd like something twice as tall. I just want my ingredients to look pretty! But I can extrapolate your idea to other condiments etc. I'll look in the supermarket for something cheap in a nice tall thin jar and chuck the contents when I get home. [must get a life emoticon]

Ah then you need to pop along to your local asian supermarket and ask them - they sell them there. Also you can get double height herbs and spices in waitrose - I know because I got my vanilla pods and cinnamon sticks in there. :)

Perfect- have just had a wander around Waitrose site- will pop in to store when I get a chance. Also have a brill Chinese supermkt not too far away... Saves having to drive to London and run the Ikea "bazar" gauntlet.
